The following is the calendar for MCSCS for the 2007-2008 school year, as adopted by the Board of Trustees.
If public schools are closed MCSCS will be closed.

 January 21, 2008 Martin Luther King’s Birthday - Schools Closed

February 12, 2008 Report Cards Issued to Students Grades 6-12

February 18, 2008 Presidents’ Day - Administrative Offices and Schools Closed

 February 29, 2008 Staff Only-Professional Development Day

 March 4, 2008 Parent Teacher Conference Grades 1-5

 March 17-21, 2008 Spring Recess - Schools Closed

 April 15, 2008 Parent Teacher Conference Grades 6-12

 May 26, 2008 Memorial Day - Administrative Offices and Schools Closed

SCHOOL HOURS

Students will be admitted into the building at 8:25 AM. School begins at 8:30 A.M. Students will be marked late at 8:35 AM. A before- and After-School Program is offered during: the day from 7:00 A.M. until school Before- and After-school from 3:10 p.m. to 6:00 P.M.

EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSINGS

When inclement weather makes it necessary to close all Philadelphia public schools for a full day, MCSCS will also be closed. Every effort will be made to broadcast the information by 6:00 a.m. on KYW 1060, your AM dial, and TV Channels 3, 6 and 10.
