Mission
The mission of The Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School of Philadelphia, Inc. (MCSCS) is to provide a quality education to students and to graduate students prepared to enter college, vocational training and today’s work force. We offer an advanced curriculum for first through twelfth grade, in a class size of 20 students with a highly qualified team of certified teachers. There is also support personnel and strong parental support.
We provide a quality learning experience for our students in a safe, clean environment. Students are given the tools and skills to demonstrate mastery in mathematics, reading, and writing well above grade level. Students are also given skills to enhance their critical thinking, problem solving, social and creative thinking.
Character education and self-esteem are a part of our curriculum which gives students the ability to have confidence, pride, make moral decisions and foster a positive attitude when dealing with any negative situation.
A part of MCSCS’s curriculum is parental involvement, with teachers and staff working in partnership with each other.

Setting a climate where students understand that to learn is to make
mistakes and to learn to use them in order to experience success.

Transportation- because many students are absent from school because they do not have transportation.
Free
transportation will be provided for elementary students as amended by Charter School Law. Lower, middle and high school students who qualify will receive
Free
tokens.
